What you'll do

Challenges & Opportunities

  • You will be working with tech organisations operating at large-scale, impacting millions of lives on a daily basis, to help them with their Test and Release efforts

  • You will be writing code to automate testing and create test frameworks to enable developers to test their own code

  • You will be navigating through project codebase to identify weak spots  and come up with creative ways to break software and identify potential problems fast

  • Most Importantly, as an Automation Test Engineer you will be identifying menial and repetitive manual tasks and build in-house tools to automate such processes

What you'll need

Must have

  • Deep understanding and working knowledge of CS fundamentals with a strong hands-on command in application of Algorithms and Data Structures

  • Strong coding skills in languages such as Kotlin, Java or scripting languages such as Python, Golang

  • Strong Understanding of Android Fundamentals

  • Strong knowledge and working experience on UI automation frameworks preferably EspressoUIAutomator or Appium

  • Experience with debugging Android automation scripts and frameworks through logs analysis

  • Understanding the NFR (Non Functional Requirements) like battery consumption, data consumption, crash logging

  • Working knowledge of  version control tool (Preferably GIT)

  • Crisp communication skills and the will to learn and consecutively grow with a team of highly skilled engineers

  • Experience in test planning, test design, test strategy, and test execution, the scope of which will encompass all functionalities of services as a prequel to automation

  • Analyse test logs, create test reports, coordinate with stakeholders

  • Working experience on Android Studio, Android ADB, Charles Proxy/ Fiddler /Burp

Good to have

  • Understanding the Continuous Integration and Deployment process and ability to review code

  • Good automation mindset - seek opportunity to automate manual tasks

  • Self-directed and capability to work effectively in a highly innovative and fast-paced environment

  • Experience in NoSQL databases (preferably Mongo)

  • Experience in build tools preferably Maven/Gradle/Buck

  • Experience in Continuous Integration tools preferably Jenkins

  • Hands-on knowledge of Unix system for logs monitoring and shell scripting

  • Knowledge on tools like Kafka, Crashlytics
